Patient Voices

Women helping women changes lives!

The stories you share are informing WHC advocacy priorities and shaping the future of women’s health. When women tell their story it makes it easier for others to talk about their health without embarrassment or hesitation. Women tell their story it brings awareness to a system that is dismissive and biases.
Thank you to the women who have told their story and those stories that we haven’t heard YET.

Patient Ambassadors - Lived Experiences

theWHC.ca

Share your story to inspire and empower others.

Patient Ambassadors are members willing to tell their story in a formal way to reinforce the PATIENT VOICE in advocacy priorities.  Patient Ambassadors have experienced dismissal, bias or barriers in navigating the health system when dealing with a recognized women's health condition or chronic symptom.  Patient Ambassadors want others to understand the burden of illness they faced so that others may avoid a similar difficulty and to know they are not alone.

Patient Ambassadors must be WHC members, complete their patient story, and sign a release form for your story and image to be used in WHC publications.  Contact patientambassadors@TheWHC.ca for more information.
