Webinar: Unexpected Reproductive Anomalies in Girls
Presented by Dr. Kristina Arion, BSc, MD (OBGYN)
July 30th 6PM MST
Join us for a deep dive into the mysterious world of female anatomy and uncover the unexpected reproductive anomalies that girls may face.
Assigned females at birth may be born with a spectrum of gynecologic anomalies – this ranges from not having a uterus or vagina, to having two! Dr. Arion will review interesting cases of various rare anomalies, how they are discovered and managed, and what it means for these girls’ future.
Dr. Kristina Arion is an Obstetrician Gynecologist trained at Dalhousie University, and a Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecologist trained at the University of Calgary. She is currently researching pelvic pain in adolescents, advocating for fertility preservation in youth at risk of ovarian failure, and streamlining the care of patients with anorectal malformations in Alberta, which are often associated with Mullerian anomalies.
