Featuring guest speaker Dr. Roni Kraut
Join us for an insightful discussion featuring Dr. Roni Kraut, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. She practices in a primary care clinic and long-term care facility in Edmonton. Her research focuses on primary care questions, including deprescribing, population screening, and vaginitis. Cervical cancer is unlike most cancer types because it is mainly caused by persistent infection with a virus: human papillomavirus (HPV). In 2022, more than 660 000 women are estimated to have been diagnosed with cervical cancer worldwide and about 350 000 women are estimated to have died from the disease (WHO-IARC).
